How do we challenge ourselves to dance better than ourselves? It takes consistent learning and practice surely, but even more it takes conscious awareness and little explosions of epiphanies that help you discover how you can ascend in your dance journey.

Quarter 1 2022 Edition 

(12 hours total. max 20 people per class, read more below) 

Masterclass 1 (8 hours) by Sunny & Heidi- Open to students of all levels, but also designed for, and critical for the advanced dancers who want to ascend their dance beyond syllabus classes.

Perceptive Leading

• Observation and adaptation to your followers.
• Leading through suggestion and reaction to response.
• Ensuring that we create a feeling of safety, comfort and support throughout our dance.

Intuitive Following 

•  The freedom of self exploration. Awareness of your body, balance, limits and response. Consciously reciprocate the intention of the leads through your frame and use of grounding.

Masterclass 2  (4 hours) by Jeff & Sara - Level 3 minimum prerequisite. Only available for dancers who have completed our level 3 syllabus classes or have had over 2 years continuous Zouk social dancing experience as prerequisite knowledge is required.

Playing it by ear

• Creativity on the dance floor using isolated movements.
• Understanding movement boundaries and applying it to the music
• Explore movement finishers and hitting breaks in the song

Creative connections

• Extend your understanding of head movement connections
• Delivering smooth transitions and unique ways to enter and exit
• Explore being comfortable in the off-axis and Tornado positions
