About the Class
Zouk Unity is one of the only dance schools in Sydney that is specialised in Brazilian Zouk. We love this beautiful style so much. Our aim is to bring extra happiness to people's lives by creating a friendly learning community.
The Beginner Intro class will get you started with the basic steps, which lay the foundation for enjoying social dancing and progressing safely to more complex concepts. We will include the history of Brazilian Zouk, basic steps, such as rhythm basic, lateral and the various entries and exits, simple turns, lunge, yoyo, and introduction to rau/elastico (rag doll) and boomerang/bonus.
All our courses run as 8-week blocks and are progressive. Unless you have had training in Brazilian Zouk, you should begin with our Beginner Intro classes. For your own safety,and for safety and fairness to your classmates, you will only be allowed to participate in higher levels when your instructor deems it appropriate.
